As the RN looking after Mr Respiggi you are required to:

  • Discuss the situation with your partner and answer their questions including possible short and long term outcomes
  • Conduct an interview with your partner assuming he is the son and take a Psychosocial history

An empty vial of Amitriptyline issued to Mr Respeggi by his local Chemist is found in the bathroom. What do you do? Outline and implement the appropriate nursing procedures.

One hour after the empty vial was found Mr Respiggi's level of consciousness falls and he is unconscious. You are required to:

  • Administer IV Sodium Bicarbonate as ordered
  • Insert an IDC 
  • Attend to relevant documentation
