Nursing Simulation Laboratory: Wound Management Revision
Mrs. Jones is recovering well from her hip surgery. She is now sitting out of bed during the day and is mobilising short distances using a walking stick and with the assistance of one RN. She is afebrile and all her other observations are within normal limits. She is eating and drinking well and her IDC has been removed. Her pain is well controlled with regular oral analgesia. The surgical wound on her left hip has a slight haemoserous ooze and is being dressed daily.
This week in the nursing laboratories students will:
- Practise simple dressings in preparation for clinical skills assessment.
